Narco "Direct Replacement Radios" . . . A very Cost Effective Way,
To Update Your Avionics Performance To State-Of-The-Art Capability...
And Meet FCC/FAA Requirements, Without Incurring The High Cost
Of A Complete Installation Re-Do!

WHAT DOES DIRECT REPLACMENT MEAN?
It means that in most installations your new NARCO replacement radio will slide directly in and perform as good as or better than the radio it replaced.
NARCO has made every effort to make sure that this happens. In cases of non-standard installations or if you are replacing a modified version of a
standard radio we can help you by providing the necessary information to make the new radio operate properly.
In a few instances some minor modification to the installation may be necessary because of technological advances in the new radio.
Our NAV/COM replacement radios are designed to use the existing NAV indicator. If in the future your NAV indicator can not be repaired/replaced
we do provide a standard ARINC level receiver output that will drive one of the many indicator/converters available on the new or reconditioned market.

The FAA is using 25Khz channel spacing (760 COM Channels) effective January 1, 1997 and advises aircraft not equipped with 760 COM channels (25Khz spacing) should expect interference from ground stations and other aircraft when utilizing the FAA Air Traffic Control System.
Totally new (Full New Installation Required) and/or "Direct Replacement Radios" that are operable in the 118.000 through 136.975 Mhz range with 25Khz channel spacing will provide pilots with full communications services in the future. NOTE: Unrestricted Instrument Flight Rules operation requires 25Khz communications capability and all Narco "Direct Replacement Radios" meet or exceed this requirement! Narco "Direct Replacement Radios" are new, State-Of-The-Art, equipment that are in many cases installed as replacements for quite old systems. Due to the age of these installations it is imperative that an Authorized Narco Dealer check the condition of the installation (Antennas, Coax and Connectors) and certify good operating condition to Narco, as a part of the Warranty initiation process. This procedure will assure Narco Customers of the kind of excellent operation and reliability they should expect from a new Narco Radio!
